Hecla Island is one of my very favorite spots to visit and camp at. The island has some amazing views - wildlife and landscape and has a lot to offer. If you are a golfer, the golf course is absolutely beautiful. There are many trails to take while on the island that will give you some breathtaking views. Hecla village is also located on the island and there are both self guiding and guided tours of the village. The 2 beaches both offer some beautiful views and wonderful water to swim in. the views on sunset beach during the sunset are spectacular and shouldn't be missed. The grassy narrows marsh is located on the island too just as you cross the causeway to get there. Just take precautions for the woodticks.
